A fire at one of my properties started in a single apartment.
We thought it was over.
Then the building caught fire again.
What followed was nearly a year of recovery — damaged apartments, insurance claims, securing a vacant building, frozen pipes, smoke remediation, contractors, construction delays and hundreds of decisions that had to be made while I was already exhausted.
